Novalina's first Schueller Americas Center is open at 7850 NW 32nd St.: seven German-made kitchens to see, weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Who can visit.

A German kitchen cabinet maker has opened its first experience center in the Americas in Doral. Novalina’s Schueller Americas Center, or SAC, is at 7850 NW 32nd St., Units A and B, in the city’s warehouse and showroom district.

The company announced the opening in a release Thursday. It marked the official opening Oct. 22 with a private reception for trade partners, clients and vendors. Markus Schüller, managing director of the manufacturer Schüller Möbelwerk GmbH, flew in from Germany for it, the company said.

The Doral building is also the brand’s U.S. headquarters, according to the release. Its distribution, service and replacement-parts operations are in North Carolina.

What is inside

The center covers 6,500 square feet. The company said it holds:

  • seven complete kitchen settings
  • a mock apartment that shows the same cabinets used for a TV unit, a desk, a mudroom and wall storage
  • nine collections: Nova, Bari, Cremona, Modena, Uni Gloss, Fino Matt, Boston, Newport and Smartglas Matt
  • a materials area with cabinet fronts and finish samples to handle
  • a private meeting room and offices for the Novalina team

The cabinets are made by Schüller Möbelwerk in Herrieden, Germany, and designed for the U.S. market, the company said. Novalina is owned by Schueller Furniture North America Inc.

“At the SAC, they can open every drawer, experience the lighting and compare complete kitchen environments side by side,” said Alexander Reckzeh, the company’s CEO. “That changes the conversation a designer can have with a client.”

It is a trade showroom, not a store

Novalina does not sell directly to homeowners. It works through architects, interior designers, kitchen dealers, builders and developers, the company said.

“Most of our business runs through designers and dealers, so the SAC was built with their work in mind,” Reckzeh said.

Homeowners can visit with their designer, architect, dealer or other project professional. Anyone without one can contact Novalina for help finding one, according to the release. The center will also host product training and industry events.

What it means for you

If you are planning a kitchen or a condo fit-out, you can see the cabinets in person in Doral instead of from a catalog. Plan to go with your designer or contractor.
