The federal NCES directory counted 200 students in the 2024-25 school year: 75 in kindergarten, 75 in first grade and 50 in second grade, with eight full-time-equivalent teachers, or 25 students per teacher.

The school’s FAQ says it began with kindergarten and first grade in 2023-24 and would open the higher grades as building renovations were finished.

How admission works

The Apply Now page offers three forms:

  • a kindergarten to third grade student application
  • a pre-K application
  • the school’s controlled open enrollment policy

Pre-K 4 is a full-day, 10-month program that charges tuition, according to the school’s preschool page, which posts the rates. Kindergarten and the grades above it are free.

State report card

Florida grades every public school, charter schools included, A to F. The Florida Department of Education says school grades “provide an easily understandable way to measure the performance of a school,” in its 2026 school grades overview.

Doral Academy North earned an A for 2025-26, with 96% of possible points, in the state’s 2026 school grades file. It is the first grade the state has given the school, and it was calculated on three parts because the school does not yet have the older grades that produce learning-gains and science scores:

Measure, 2025-26 Share passing
English language arts 96%
Third-grade English language arts 96%
Math 96%

The full report card is on the state’s Florida school report cards site.
