Doral will brief residents on G20 road closures, affected areas and alerts at 2 town halls, Nov. 4 at Doral Central Park and Nov. 14 at Legacy Park. Free.
The city of Doral will hold two community town halls in November on how the G20 Leaders’ Summit will affect residents. The summit takes place Dec. 14-15 at Trump National Doral Miami.
The city listed the meetings on its events calendar and on a flyer in English and Spanish.

| Date | Time | Place |

What the city says it will cover
The flyer invites residents to “learn about anticipated community impacts, ask questions and get information to help you prepare.” It names three topics:
- road closures and traffic changes
- community access and affected areas
- how to stay informed before and during the summit
What is already known
The city’s G20 page says “temporary security measures and traffic adjustments may be in effect around the Summit venue and surrounding areas.” It says specific information on traffic, road closures and restricted areas will be shared once operational plans are final. As of Sunday, the page named no closed streets.
The city’s Building Department has already canceled building, code, public works and zoning inspections on Dec. 14-15. It gave the reason as “citywide road closures and events.”
The summit itself is a closed diplomatic event, the city’s G20 page says. Details of the city’s own public events around it will be posted as plans are finalized.
What it means for you
- Go to the Nov. 4 evening session or the Nov. 14 Saturday morning session. Both cover the same three topics.
- Sign up for Doral Alerts, linked from the city’s G20 page. The city says advance notice of closures will go out there and on its official channels.
- If you run a business near the resort or have a building inspection due in mid-December, plan around Dec. 14-15 now.
- Our Doral road closures page will carry the street list as soon as the city publishes it.
The Nov. 14 session falls on the opening day of the Downtown Doral Art Festival, Nov. 14-15.
