Father's Day in Doral 2027: events, golf and brunch

Last checked Oct. 8, 2026. This page is updated each year at the same address. Events below are from past years, with the year stated each time. We never guess a new date. Parks and Recreation: 305-593-6600.

Father’s Day is Sunday, June 20, 2027. Doral has no fixed Father’s Day tradition: the city held a BBQ wings and outdoor adventure day in 2025, and we found no city Father’s Day event in 2026. For a day out, there is golf, the parks and the restaurants’ Sunday brunches. We will add 2027 events as they are announced.

At a glance

• Father’s Day: Sunday, June 20, 2027

Wings and Wilderness (2025)

The city’s Father’s Day Wings and Wilderness was Saturday, June 7, 2025, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Doral Glades Park, 7600 NW 98th Place:

• a BBQ wings grilling competition in four categories ($25 to enter)
• a wing-eating showdown ($5 to enter)
• kayaking, archery and fishing
• workshops on campfire building, fish cleaning and filleting, and marinades

Registration was on the city’s Eventbrite page. Questions: 305-593-6600.

Golf

Doral takes its name from the 1962 golf resort that is now Trump National Doral, 4400 NW 87th Ave. (our history page has the story). The resort’s golf courses page lists the Blue Monster, the Golden Palm and the Silver Fox, and takes tee time bookings online. Resort reservations: 305-592-2000.

For a short game closer to home, White Course Park, 8429 NW 41st St., built on the site of the former White Course, has a putting green, a golf-themed playground and a picnic area, according to the city’s park page.

Brunch

No Doral restaurant had posted a Father’s Day 2027 menu when we checked. These serve a regular Sunday brunch, according to their own pages:

Tap 42 shows games on TVs inside and on the patio, its site says. Note that BLT Prime at Trump National Doral is closed on Sundays, according to its page. More ideas are in our brunch guide.

Outdoors with Dad

• Kayaks: self-serve kiosks at Doral Central Park and Doral Glades Park rent single and tandem kayaks until sunset.
• Fishing: both parks have fishing piers, open park opening to sunset.
• Pickleball and tennis: Doral Glades, Doral Legacy and Morgan Levy parks have courts.

See our parks and trails guide for addresses and hours.
