November in Doral starts with a Military Family Day and Health Fair on Nov. 7 and the city’s Veterans Day Ceremony on Nov. 11. The free Downtown Doral Arts Festival fills Downtown Doral Park on Nov. 14-15, the Park and Tree Lighting Ceremony opens the holiday season on Nov. 20, and the Doral Turkey Trot runs Thanksgiving morning.

Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11

The city’s Veterans Day Ceremony runs 9 to 11 a.m. at Veterans Park, 10190 NW 33rd St., with tributes to people who have served or are serving in the U.S. military, live music and a community gathering. It is free. Parking at the park is limited: the city offers free parking at the Aloft Hotel with a free shuttle to and from the park starting at 8:30 a.m., and says early arrival is “highly encouraged.” The Government Center is closed all day.

Four days earlier, the Doral Military Annual Family Day and Health Fair runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Doral Glades Park, 7600 NW 98th Place, with health resources and family activities. It is free.

Farmers market, Saturdays

The Doral Central Park Farmers Market runs Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Nov. 7 to Dec. 12, at Doral Central Park, 3005 NW 92nd Ave. Entry is free.

G20 town halls, Nov. 4 and Nov. 14

The G20 Leaders’ Summit comes to Trump National Doral Miami on Dec. 14-15. The city’s two community town halls cover road closures and traffic changes, community access and affected areas, and how to stay informed. The first is 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Doral Central Park’s Lakeview Hall; the second is 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Doral Legacy Park Event Hall, 11400 NW 82nd St. More on our G20 town halls story and road closures page.

Tree lighting and the holidays

The city’s Park and Tree Lighting Ceremony is 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at Downtown Doral Park, and Doral’s Holiday Spectacular is 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Doral Central Park amphitheater, according to the city’s call for performers. Thanksgiving
