New Year's Eve in Doral 2026: events, fireworks, closures

Last checked Oct. 8, 2026. This page is updated each year at the same address. We list a New Year’s Eve event only once its venue or organizer announces it, with a link to their own page. City questions: 305-593-6725.

New Year’s Eve is Thursday, Dec. 31, 2026, and New Year’s Day is Friday, Jan. 1, 2027. No public New Year’s Eve celebration in Doral had been announced when we checked, and the City of Doral has not held one in recent years: we found only Government Center closure notices for New Year’s Eve on its 2024 and 2025 calendars. We will add events here as venues post them.

At a glance

• City celebration: none on the city calendar
• Fireworks at home: legal in Florida on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, unless your HOA’s recorded covenants ban them
• Government Center: closed from noon Dec. 31 and on Jan. 1 in each of the last two years
• New Year’s Day: trash pickup as normal; no Doral Trolley; Metrobus and Metrorail on a Sunday schedule

Fireworks

Florida law allows consumer fireworks “solely and exclusively” on three designated holidays: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and the Fourth of July, under section 791.08 of the Florida Statutes. The law does not override a fireworks ban in a homeowners association’s recorded covenants, though an HOA board cannot make new rules taking the right away, and it does not supersede local fireworks regulations. Doral’s public fireworks show is on the Fourth of July; see our Fourth of July fireworks page.

In an emergency, call 911. Doral Police non-emergency: 305-593-6699.

Getting home

What this means for you

Frequently asked questions

Does Doral have New Year’s Eve fireworks?

The City of Doral had no New Year’s Eve event or fireworks show on its calendar in 2024, 2025 or, so far, 2026. Its big fireworks show is on the Fourth of July at Doral Central Park.

Can I set off fireworks on New Year’s Eve in Florida?

Is trash picked up on New Year’s Day in Doral?

Yes. Miami-Dade County collects on every county holiday except Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Independence Day and Christmas Day.
