Last checked Oct. 8, 2026. Facts on this page come from Florida Power & Light and the City of Doral.
Florida Power & Light (FPL) delivers electricity in Doral. The city does not run the power grid, so outages, flickers, downed lines and restoration times all go through FPL. In a storm, check FPL’s map before you call; it may already know about your outage.
Who to call
- Report an outage: FPL, 1-800-4OUTAGE (1-800-468-8243), or report it online
- Outage map: FPL Power Tracker
- A downed power line: call FPL right away at 1-800-468-8243, FPL says; call 911 for life-threatening emergencies
- Streetlights and traffic signals: City of Doral Public Works, 305-593-6740, or Doral311
Is it just you?
FPL’s power disturbances FAQ splits it this way:
- Your neighbors are out too: report it to FPL at 1-800-4OUTAGE or online.
- Only your home is out: check your breakers first. FPL says a tripped breaker or fuse in your home, a tree limb on the line that serves your house or a blown fuse on your transformer can cause a single-home outage.
- Apartment or condo: check whether neighbors in the building are affected. If they are, call FPL; if not, try your breakers, and call a licensed electrician if lights keep flickering.
Brief flickers, outages shorter than 60 seconds, happen when FPL’s system shuts off a line automatically to isolate a problem, such as a tree branch, and then resets.
The outage map
FPL’s Power Tracker is an interactive map of current outages across FPL’s service territory. Enter a street address, city or ZIP code (Doral’s include 33178, 33172, 33166, 33122 and 33126) to see outages and restoration information for your area.
