Enrollment and teachers

The federal NCES directory counted 391 students in the 2024-25 school year, when the campus ran fifth to eighth grade: 17 in fifth, 120 in sixth, 118 in seventh and 136 in eighth. It listed 26 full-time-equivalent teachers, or about 15 students per teacher. The school’s website now describes it as serving seventh to 10th grade, and the elementary campus has added sixth grade.

How admission works

From the school’s enrollment page:

  • Applications are taken online through SchoolMint all year.
  • Open enrollment for 2026-27 began Nov. 3, 2025. Every application filed during open enrollment has the same chance, whether it came in on the first day or the last.
  • If open enrollment applications outnumber the seats in a grade, “a system-generated, random lottery” decides who is offered a seat.
  • Families offered a seat accept within five business days, then register and upload documents within 10 business days.

The enrollment FAQ says siblings must be listed on each application to receive sibling preference, and applications filed after open enrollment go on a waitlist when a grade is full.

State report card

Florida grades every public school, charter schools included, A to F. The Florida Department of Education says school grades “provide an easily understandable way to measure the performance of a school,” in its 2026 school grades overview.

School year Grade
2025-26 A (66% of possible points)
2024-25 A
2023-24 A

The share of students who passed the state tests in 2025-26, from the 2026 file:

  • English language arts: 66%
  • Math: 70%
  • Science: 70%
  • Social studies: 83%
  • Middle school acceleration: 84%

Middle school acceleration is the share of eligible students who passed a high school course exam or earned an industry certification. The 2026 file has no graduation rate for the school, which does not yet run to 12th grade. The full report card is on the state’s Florida school report cards site.

Sports and activities

The athletics page says tryouts are held every year and lists coaches for basketball, volleyball and middle school soccer. The website also lists high school and middle school clubs. Follow Doral’s high school games on our Friday night football and scoreboard pages.
