Parks where dogs are not allowed
The city posts this notice on its pages for Doral Central Park, Doral Legacy Park, Doral Glades Park, Morgan Levy Park, Doral Meadow Park and Veterans Park: household pets, including dogs and cats, are not permitted, under Section 29-38 of the City of Doral Code of Ordinances. Service animals are allowed.
The city’s pages for Downtown Doral Park and White Course Park, 8429 NW 41st St., do not carry that notice. White Course Park lists a dog wash station among its features.
Downtown Doral

Leash and license rules
Miami-Dade County Animal Services sums up the county code this way:
- Leash law: when a dog leaves private property it must be leashed at all times; dogs may not roam free. Read Section 5-20 of the county code.
- License tags: required for all dogs and renewed every year (Section 5-7).
- Barking: an animal that makes frequent, habitual or long-continued noise can break the county’s noise rules.
Animal Services also runs low-cost vaccinations and a license tag and microchip lookup; see its home page or call 311.
Walking routes
For a long leashed walk, use the sidewalks of Downtown Doral or the path at Trails & Tails. Remember that the walking paths and boardwalk inside Doral Central Park and the other no-pet parks are off limits to dogs. Our walking and biking trails guide notes which trails allow dogs.
What this means for you
- Leave the dog at home for Doral Central Park and most city parks.
- Use Trails & Tails for off-leash play.
